I've been in five in fifteen months. I left three of them because I was the only one on. One of them kicked me since they didn't care for my opinions on monk armor in PvP and am still in my fifth guild. Seems to be going alright when people are on, I'm just on too much so I notice when everyone else is not.

I've changed about 6-7 times in about 5 months it sounds weird but sometimes it is not as you expected it to be..the first 2 guilds i joined were when i had no clue about the game ^^ the first one I left because sometimes i would be the only player logged on in days, the 2nd fell apart, after that I went on my own for a while and joined a friends guild which was in AB a lot i changed 3 guilds in that same alliance because, I wanted to see which guild fit with me..then I started to dislike AB because of the long waiting times and because I simply just played it to much..But now i finally settled down for 2 months in my current guild..it's not one of those guilds who recruit that much we are only a 20 man group but its great, everyone is always online and we help each other as much as we can, even if you done a mission over and over you still help the other persons because its fun hanging around with each other..imo this is the best guild ever

I've been playing since official release and have been in ~6 guilds, the first of which was a pve guild i was in for well over one year. It broke up from edrama and i since have moved on to pursue pvp orientated guilds

Only been in one, if you don't count the one-man-guild I made in the first months to avoid the blind invites in outposts. Couldn't ask for a better guild now, so I don't see future changes either, well, unless I get the boot hehe.

Left one guild, but for good reason.
Basically the guild had an 18+ rule, and they recruited an under-18 by accident, a few weeks later, a dispute broke out over the rule after a few more "rule-bendings" occured, and the Leader's girlfriend suddenly left, followed by another officer who was inscensed (did I spell that right) that she was "pushed" out (WTF?), then the Leader decided he wasn't up to the job and designated the original leader, who was gone for more than a month.

like 4 times.
My first guild died cuz the leader and all the officers quit to play wow without telling any of the members<i found that out 8 months later from one of the officer> Then i remained guildless for over 8 months.
My second guild is Hero, it died cuz the leader is no longer active enough to take care of the guild and the officers acting selfishly and immature.
My 3rd guild is xen of heroes, it was a great guild with alot of good players, i quit cuz my rl friends asked me to join the grotto club.
now i am in my friend's guild, most members just log on to afk in grottos, nobody actually play except me!

I do have to agree with you I think at most I have been in 3-4 guilds since the release of the game way back when even had a beta guild. First few guilds where just friends from previous games and a few new faces that eventually died and where disbanded. Then I joined another guild while doing a mission with 7 other people that where already in that guild and just for some reason could not call it home even though they where very nice people.
Now I only see a need for a guild if you want to pvp, it is kind of hard to actually get use to people since most play at different times or very rarely, some guilds are fly by night and some of the long time guilds you cant even get into anymore because they have become so elite or dont want any new players joining.
I just solo now but always getting guild invites with many of my characters until I feel comfortable in joining another guild.

I have been in several Guilds since the game came out. The first was Section Nine which I founded. I disbanded it to join a friend who turned out to not be so much a friend. Then my third annd most successful guild was Section FIve. I founded that one with another friend(Monk With Bad Hair) and now it is doing great. Over 50 members since august last year. It has had its share of problems some of which were major. At the moment though I had to leave Section Five due to the health of my father (dont have the time to watch him and play Guild Wars), so I left the guild in the capable hands of Twisted the Mage and his brother Monk with Bad Hair. Section Five is mostly orientated towards PVE but it does some other aspects of the game. At this moment I am guildless and not interested in joining any, I would like to sometime return to Section Five but for now I cannot get online enough to justify taking a spot.

I've changed guilds once. No promotion here, but we have a great guild and alliance. Very helpful and alot of casual pve players. Our guild is a teamspeak only guild (although not the alliance) and we all have a blast together. All i can say is it takes time to find the right guild for you and although ours isn't the right guild for everyone, we have managed to put together a guild and alliance that seems to fit everyone pretty well. Of course we are accepting invites too! (sorry shameless plug)

I have joined and helped recruit, run to places and level up and farmed fow and uw and done quests etc etc but... it never fails that when you really need someone's help for your new character its like no one is ever available. . . . But when its all said and done I really would like to find a guild that does enjoy the game for what it is. See how far your character can get, develop new strategies for beating missions and quests and some friendly banter.
Have you all had much success with your guilds? Are you still in the guild you originally started with?
I know there are ubber guilds but what about simple fun loving non demanding friendly casual guilds, has anyone found that elusive animal?
Just curious.

Well met!
My first guild membership lasted 5 minutes (solicited and ignored). Then one day, not long ago, in this very forum, I read a reply to a post from a player lamenting his inability to find PUGs that would accept him because he wanted to play an unconventional build. The reply encouraged him to continue to think "outside the box", and went on to support the idea of playing for fun, with respect for all, and that we were all new once, etc. I was so impressed with his words that I contacted him. I joined his guild soon after. We are a small guild of roughly 20+. I am a relatively inexperienced player (Wo Tan Ki is my first, and essentially only, character) and one of the newest members of the guild. Most of the other members I have met are extremely experienced and rich in Gold, Weapons, and Expertise, yet they are always eager to help in every way imaginable. I have met few nicer people anywhere, on or offline, than these.
Please feel free to contact me in-game and/or check out our website at www.kosknights.com.
Melandru bless you all!

Been playing for 13 months now. Joined my first guild about one week from starting, and stayed there until it broke down into 2 different guilds about 6 months ago. After that i followed my friends to other of the new guilds, and there i still am. So i guess once or twice, depends how u look at it.
